WELCOME TO SIMPLE CONTRACT HIRE |
|
Below is our Frequently Asked Questions for the Arrowhire web site, please read carefully. You may use our live chat service from the right hand side.
Do you do other mileages? Q: Do you do other mileages? A: Usually! If you give us a call we may give you a manual quote. Back To Top Q: What are the excess mileage costs? A: All excess mileage is charged at a minimum of 15p (+vat) per mile, so keep an eye on this throughout your contract term. Back To Top Q: What is "payment profile"? A: The payment profile is the term the vehicle is paid over, this is calculated by availability of vehicle and clients status. i.e. a non-status application of a stock vehicle over a 12 month period will be a 3 + 11 payment profile. Back To Top Q: How long does the process take? A: That depends on a number of factors. Once a deal has been accepted, most cars are delivered between 7 and 15 working days. If the car you want to hire is not in stock and has to be factory ordered, it can take up to 4 months. Back To Top Q: I have a part exchange, do you take them? A: We now consider part exchange on hire vehicles against your deposit, if you sold privately before you have a confirmed delivery date you may be leaving yourself without transport until your new car is delivered. In that case you can get a short term rental from our Daily Rentals section Back To Top Q: How do I start the process? A: The process is started by requesting an official quote. This will be sent to you along with the necessary order form and a proposal form. When you want to proceed, complete the forms and return them to us, we will then process your application. Once it is approved, we will send you a confirmation of the acceptance and the terms that have been agreed. We will then require the initial deposit, We can then order your vehicle with one of our suppliers and obtain an approximate delivery date. If the vehicle you have ordered is not available from stock and the delivery date not acceptable, we will obtain details of alternatives for you to consider. Once we have received the original documents back, we can then organise a definite delivery date. Back To Top Q: How can I help speed up the process? A: All long term rentals require proof of identity. This is normally obtained by a driving licence, it helps if this is supplied along with the order form. We also require proof that you live at the address given, this is normally done by providing copies of 2 utility bills, gas, electricity or water bill, dated within the last month. Proof of ability to repay may also be required, company accounts or pay slips, would help. Back To Top Q: I have a poor credit rating or CCJ's, can you help? A: Yes! We can allow non-status/adverse credit applications, with over 90% acceptance rate, give us a try we may be able to help you. Back To Top Q: Can I terminate the contract early if I want to? A: Yes. You may terminate the contract at any time before the due date but this will incur penalties, we would endeavor to keep those costs to a minimum. The industry normal is 50% of outstanding rentals. This is a guideline only. Back To Top Q: Who is responsible for insuring the vehicle on the hire contract? A: The vehicle must be insured by the user on a fully comprehensive basis, we would advise you to be certain of how long you require the vehicle, also ensure you have windscreen cover. Back To Top Q: Can I swap the vehicle I'm currently hiring for any other, mid-term? A: Y, because you have signed up for a certain vehicle for a certain time period which has dictated the overall costings, however we may be able to help with certain types so give us a call and ask the question! but in any event the original contract must be terminated and therefore extra charges will apply. Back To Top Q: Can I buy the vehicle at the end of the contract? A: Yes, but this would depend largely on the vehicle profile and settling costs. Call us for more information. Back To Top Q: Can the car I want to lease be supplied by my local dealer? A: Yes, provided the dealer is part of our national buying consortium and/or can offer us our usual discounts, choosing your vehicle from your local dealer is not a problem! Back To Top Q: Where do I take the contracted vehicle for servicing? A: To a nominated Main Dealer garage local to you. Vehicles on lease and contract hire must be serviced by a Main Dealer for the specific make of car on contract hire or personal lease. Back To Top Q: What happens if the vehicle breaks down? A: If the vehicle is covered by a non maintenance contract, breakdowns are normally covered under the manufacturers warranty, but on a maintenance contract the vehicle would be supplied with full roadside assistance. A drivers pack is provided with every vehicle on lease contract which explains fully how to treat every type of vehicle breakdown. Back To Top |
